When Kip and I moved into our first home, the rings insides of our toilets were SO bad! And I had no idea how to get them off. But then my brilliant friend told me about a cleaner called CLR Bath & Kitchen Cleaner and it has helped keep our toilets ring free!
I wanted to share this with you with an example, so I let our toilet get a ring (it drove me crazy for weeks!) and I finally cleaned it today. So let me show you the pictures and tell you the process I used:
First of all, here is the before picture. Like I said, it was a lot worse when we first moved in!

Spray the CLR directly onto the ring in your toilet.

Let it sit for a couple of minutes (like 1-2 minutes), scrub it, and then....BOOM! Your toilet is as clean as can be!

Now, go get yourself some of this amazing cleaner :)
